Training Technologies
Technologies are the tools employed by PIMB students and faculty to answer fundamental questions in molecular biology. These tools are broad and diverse and can include the use of computer software and hardware to analyze protein structure and function, the use of genetic analysis to identify genes that regulate protein expression, or the use of microscopy to follow the development of a growing embryo. The University of Pittsburgh has superb research facilities, and PIMB students have access to a number of specialized Research Centers at the University.
